Completing Sales & Seller Responsibilities
For transactions completed directly between the buyer and seller, the buyer may pay the required Platform Charge to receive the seller's contact information.
Once a buyer submits a contact request, the listed item is temporarily reserved for that buyer while the seller reviews the request. This gives the buyer a priority opportunity to communicate with the seller before the item becomes available to other interested buyers.
Because the buyer has taken this step to express serious interest in the item, sellers are expected to review the request in good faith and respond within a reasonable period of time.
A response does not require the seller to accept an offer or proceed with the transaction.
If the seller chooses not to proceed, the seller should respond accordingly so the temporary reservation can be released and the item can become available to other buyers.
All negotiations, inspections, payment arrangements, ownership transfer discussions, and transportation planning for these transactions take place directly between the buyer and seller.
Sellers are encouraged to communicate promptly, clearly, and professionally with interested buyers.
