Payment Options

Depending on the listing, a transaction may be completed directly between the buyer and seller or through Le Pit Club Marketplace checkout.

For a Direct Transaction, the buyer pays the Platform Charge to receive the seller's contact information. The buyer and seller then arrange payment for the item, ownership transfer, pickup, or delivery directly.

For a Marketplace Checkout Transaction, the buyer pays for the item through Le Pit Club Marketplace. The total amount may include the item price, Platform Charge, taxes, and shipping.

The exact amount payable will always be displayed during checkout before payment is submitted.

Platform Charge

Current Platform Charge rates are:

• Vehicles:
  • all vehicles except motorcycles — 2% of the price
  • motorcycles — 1% of the price
• Non-vehicle products:
  • Product price is up to $9.99 — $0
  • Product price is from $10.00 to $499.99 — 5% of the price
  • Product price is from $500 to $4,999.99 — 3% of the price
  • Product price is above $5,000 — 2% of the price
• Cap of the Platform Charge — $7,500

The exact amount payable will always be displayed during checkout before payment is submitted.

Direct Transactions

For a Direct Transaction, the Platform Charge provides access to the seller's contact information. It is not a payment toward the vehicle or item, shipping, or any other part of the transaction.

Once paid, the seller's contact details will be shared with the buyer so they can finalize pricing, payment arrangements, inspections, ownership transfer, pickup, or delivery directly with the seller.

Once a buyer requests the seller's contact information, the listed item will be temporarily reserved for that buyer while the seller reviews and responds to the request. During this period, the buyer has a priority window to communicate with the seller before the item becomes available to other buyers again.

Sellers are expected to review buyer requests in good faith and respond within a reasonable period of time. However, a seller is not required to accept an offer or proceed with a transaction.

This temporary reservation gives the buyer priority to engage with the seller but does not guarantee the sale, acceptance of an offer, or final availability of the listed item.

The Platform Charge is non-refundable once the seller's contact information has been provided.

Marketplace Checkout Transactions

For eligible listings, the buyer may pay for the item directly through Le Pit Club Marketplace checkout.

The total amount may include the item price, Platform Charge, taxes, and shipping.

Shipping charges collected through Marketplace Checkout are used by Le Pit Club Marketplace to pay for the applicable shipping services and are not transferred to the seller.

Taxes & Regulatory Fees

Taxes may be calculated on the item price and the Platform Charge.

Any required taxes, fees, and charges will be calculated and clearly displayed during checkout before payment is submitted.

Cancellations & Refunds

For Marketplace Checkout Transactions, the amount refunded depends on the order status.

Before seller confirmation

If the order is cancelled before the seller confirms it, any authorization hold on the buyer's payment method will be released. If payment has already been collected, it will be refunded.

After seller confirmation but before shipping

If the order is cancelled after seller confirmation but before shipping, the buyer will receive a refund of:

• the item price;
• taxes paid on the item and Platform Charge;
• shipping charges; and
• the Platform Charge.

After shipping

Once the seller has shipped the order (the order has been transferred to the shipping carrier), the shipping charges and Platform Charge are non-refundable.

If a refund is issued after shipping, the buyer will receive a refund of:

• the item price; and
• taxes related to the refundable amount.

Automatic cancellation due to failure to ship

If the seller does not ship the order within 5 business days after confirmation, Le Pit Club Marketplace may automatically cancel the order.

The buyer will receive a refund of the item price, taxes paid on the item and Platform Charge, shipping charges, and Platform Charge.

The time it takes for a refund to appear may depend on the payment provider, payment method, and buyer's financial institution.

Ownership Transfer

For Direct Transactions, payment for the item and ownership transfer are arranged directly between the buyer and seller.

For Marketplace Checkout Transactions, Le Pit Club Marketplace processes payment for eligible items, but ownership transfer remains the responsibility of the buyer and seller.

Title documentation, bills of sale, registration requirements, and other ownership paperwork must be handled between the buyer and seller according to applicable laws.
